Healthy. Thriving. Whole. is an innovative and comprehensive experience to empower cancer survivors.
This 8-week, peer-supported, community-based program includes four components:
1. Individualized wellness coaching sessions,
2. A weekly educational meeting on various topics,
3. A twice-weekly group-based exercise program, and.
4. Complete access to the Health and Fitness Facility throughout the 8-week program.

1. Your wellness coaching sessions will:
- Help to identify your own personal wellness vision
- Create weekly action plans and accept accountability for reaching short and long-term goals
- Discover your motivation for long-term results
- Recognize and eliminate barriers that sabotage success
Coaching sessions are scheduled on an individual basis.
2. In the educational sessions you’ll learn from our team of experts about:
- Nutrition
- Healthy cooking
- Mindfulness and meditation
- Healthy choices when eating out
- And more!
Group sessions meet every Tuesday from 5:00 - 6:00pm at the Philip Heit Center (rooms vary).
3. The group exercise portion is set up to introduce you to several modes of exercise, build confidence, strength and endurance. You’ll learn how to gauge how hard you are exercising, appropriate cardiovascular and strength exercises, experience some group exercise classes, and suspension training.
The group exercise portion meets every Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00 - 7:00pm at the Philip Heit Center (in the Fitness Facility).
4. You will receive a complimentary pass to the OSU Wexner Medical Center’s Health and Fitness Facility (in the Heit Center) throughout the duration of the 8-week program. Enjoy the fitness equipment, workout pools, free weights area, group fitness classes, and more.
Healthy. Thriving. Whole. is exclusively designed for women who are cancer survivors. The session begins Tuesday October 16th and goes through Thursday December 13th. This program is put on in partnership with:
