Juneteenth Celebration

 

The 2026 Juneteenth event will bring another incredible lineup of vendors, artists, and performers, creating a vibrant celebration of culture and community.  After the reading of the annual City Council Juneteenth Proclamation, Stride Nation will prove that roller skating is alive and well in Central Ohio while DJ JDitto spins a dynamic mix of tunes throughout the event.  Dance and music fans will enjoy performances by the Jelani Performers, traditional West African group GOREE, and the Church of Christ at Genessee Avenue Gospel Chior.

Dr. Anthony Hendrix will return to share powerful spoken word, and a talented New Albany High School graduating senior, McKayla Almon, will present a heartfelt rendition of "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

Attendees will once again have the chance to explore local vendors, food trucks, children's crafts & activities, a face painter, balloon twister, and airbrush tattoo artist.
