Come join us and learn about science in the kitchen and apply it to food. There will be hands-on activities to keep kids entertained. Class will include bread leavened with baking soda, and edible play dough! Educational, engaging, and fun!
About the instructor: Born and raised in New Albany, with over 10 years of experience in the food industry, Emily Wilken is a seasoned chef with an expansive knowledge of the culinary arts. An alumni of the Culinary Institute of America and having spent multiple years of training at one of the most influential restaurants in the nation, Emily has a wealth of knowledge that she is eager to share with the next generation of young chefs. Having worked alongside some of the best chefs in the country at the world renowned Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, Emily has an exceptional background. Specializing in Farm to Table and sustainable food, she also has a strong belief in community engagement, especially when it comes to educating and inspiring a love for cooking in today's youth.
