Presenter: Dr. Paul J. Riccomini Dr. Riccomini is an experienced classroom teacher, author, mathematician and leading special education expert who has taught mathematics to both general and special education students in inclusive settings. Mathematics is an area that both parents and kids struggle with across their educational experiences. Kids struggling in mathematics have trouble in several areas that include computing accurately and fluently, problem solving, and reading and understanding the language of mathematics. Parents find it very challenging (and often frustrating) supporting their children as they progress through their mathematics education. This seminar can answer many of your questions about understanding and supporting your child in mathematics. Dr. Riccomini will discuss the challenges and important considerations for supporting your child’s learning of mathematics.
